What can Wild Movement offer you?

I know you’re busy and your time is precious so let’s get straight to the point. This website will help you achieve vibrant, energized health. You’ll learn little known yet highly effective ways of losing weight, getting stronger, and feeling happier. I know that sounds like a pretty bold statement, but I believe 100% that the information here can change your life. My philosophy is centered around functional, explorative movement and connectedness with the natural world… two absolutely integral, yet often disregarded aspects of human health. I also delve deep into how diet, cultural pressures, social expectations, and physical and mental stimuli all work together to shape our state of wellness, painting a big picture of what it truly means to be healthy.

What do we stand for?

Here at Wild Movement we realize that something is hugely wrong with our modern lifestyle.

Take a trip to the mall or ride the subway and you’ll see it everywhere. Hundreds of overweight, overworked, and unhappy people moving blindly through life, simply going through the motions– addicted to media and thoroughly disconnected from any tangible link to the natural world they once had.

We are one of the most wealthy and powerful nations on the planet and yet we are one of the unhealthiest and one of the unhappiest. For the first time ever, it is expected that the current generation of children will live shorter lives than their parents. Today, obesity affects over 30 percent of the American population, and an astounding 16 percent of children are obese. Not overweight, obese. Heart disease, cancer, early onset diabetes… The list is endless. Here’s the thing: many of these ailments didn’t affect our ancestors at all. They have only become rampant in the last 50 years with the invention of cheap, unhealthy, refined “foods” and the literal stagnation of our society. Here’s the good news: you are in complete control of your health. Your actions and life choices are the biggest determining factors to your overall health and happiness. You can be strong, fit, free and happy. And this change can start today. Read on…

Revolutionizing Modern Fitness

Conventional fitness is boring. I don’t know about you, but the thought of pounding away on a treadmill makes me cringe.

If you feel the same way, let me show you a way of working out that I guarantee will get excited…

Picture this…

You are running through the woods, bare feet gripping the earth, eyes alert, fully focused. Like your ancient ancestors, hunters, warriors, you are connected to this moment, senses firing, pushing yourself and loving every minute of it. You find a large rock and pick it up, running it up hill, hurling it back down with a primal roar. Vaulting over a fallen tree, you sprint toward a flowing river that snakes in front of you. Reaching the bank, you explode into the air, crashing beneath the surface and swimming upstream like the awesome animal that you are.

Now Picture This…

Sweating in the dimly lit gym you struggle to complete your 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. Looking around you, you see rows upon rows of people plodding monotonously on treadmills, pounding rhythmically in a never-ending drone, going nowhere. You hate every minute of it, and yet you feel you need to do it…for your health, your energy, your happiness. So, instead of giving up, you change the channel on the T.V in front of you and completely zone out.

We’ve lost our inner animal. Modern society has crushed it out of us, dulled us, bored us into being boring. We spend our time in sterile, sunlight-devoid buildings, stare at energy sucking computer screens, pack our bodies full of chemicals, and exercise with treadmills and leg extension machines. For the most part, our lives lack spontaneity, and our fitness routines are no different.

Thats where we come in.

The goal of Wild Movement is to help you revive this spontaneity, health, and natural exuberance through movement and connectedness with nature. To help you get in the best shape of your life and love every minute of the transformation. To help you develop a body that is strong, versatile and incredibly resilient to injury.

If your suffering from chronic pains, depression, or are simply looking for a way to spice up your fitness routine, welcome aboard. We’re glad to have you.
